Remote Control Switch Board Appliance.
Introduction:
This is very simple
control system of IR remote control switch. We use normal switches in our daily
life and after getting used to this switching system for a long time we can no
longer be interested in it. We can make our daily life easier with a remote. Which
can make our daily routine easier by changing it. It is a good solution for a
unique and so interesting concept of wireless switching system to control home
appliances. Remote Controlled Switch Control System for IR (Infrared) Light/Fan
Appliances. Infrared remote control switches are used to control multiple things like, thyristor
power control, TVs, video games, Space related equipment (NASA), etc. IR Remote Control Switch can also be used to
switch on or off the electronic appliances like washing machines, radio, TVs,
etc.

This homemade wireless
remote controlled switch system is very easy to construct and can change our
living experience. TSOP1738 is used in the circuit for sensing the infrared
signal output from remote. Here we can use any TV, USB player or DVD remote and
it works up to the 10-meter distance.
The output signal from
TSOP1738 is applied to PNP transistor 557. The amplified signal from transistor
Q1 is fed to the pin no 14 of IC.
TSOP1738 is the IR receiver module. TSOP 17…. Series Photo-modules are
miniature IR sensor modules with PIN photodiode and a preamplifier stage
enclosed in an epoxy case. Its output is active low and gives +5 V when
off. The important features of the module include an internal filter for
PCM frequency, TTL and CMOS compatibility, low power consumption (5 volts and 5
mA), immunity against ambient light, noise protection, etc. 1738 is sensitive
for 38khz frequency.

Photo modules are 3 pin devices. These pins are
assigned for +V,–V and output. The pin assignment of the TSOP 17… series from
the front side (projected side) is Pin 1 Ground, Pin 2 + 5V and pin 3 Output.
The photo module requires a regulated 5V supply. If the supply voltage
increases, the device will be destroyed.

Some of equipment remote controlled switch:
The input stage of the remote control switch consists of BC 557 PNP transistor, TSOP 4.7k, resistor, and 100uf capacitor. As we press any key of remote a signal generates and drops on the IR receiver (TSOP). TSOP trigger to bc557 and BC 557 trigger to IC through pin 14 of IC 4017 (decade counter IC) And Shortes pin is 4 to 15.

Transistor
In this remote control switch circuit, we have used a two-transistor with IC 4017. BC547 is an NPN bipolar transistor and according to the law of electronics NPN transistor always operates with positive(+) voltages so, as IC turned on a slight amount of current feeds the base of bc547. Due to the result of the base feeding transistor turned on. The collector pin of the transistor is attached with a relay that is way relay also turned on.
We have also used a BC 557
transistor in this circuit between the sensor and 4017 IC. Transistor BC 557 is
a bipolar PNP device and it is operating using a negative current. As a signal
pulse falls on the sensor the base of BC 557 receives a little amount of negative
current and the collector pin of 557 connected with the feed pin of counter IC
4017.
3. Relay
Relay is one kind of electro-mechanical component that functions as a switch. The relay coil is energized by DC so that contact switches can be opened or closed. A single channel 5V relay module generally includes a coil, and two contacts like normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC). This article discusses an overview of the 5V relay module & it’s working but before going to discuss what is relay module is, first we have to know what is relay and its pin configuration.
Working
of remote controlled switch:When the Remote is not pressed then the
output of the TSOP sensor is HIGH. After pressing any key button of the remote
the output of the sensor goes LOW for a Moment. In this case, the input clock
pulse is changed for a moment at pin no 14 of IC 4017. As Clock pulse is
changed the State of This IC is changed also and then output is changed. The
output is Remain in the same state Until the Clock pulse at pin no is changed
therefore as result the remote is able to change the state of 4017 and output
turns ON and turn OFF the transistor and Connected Load is Switched ON and
Switched OFF after Every Key Pressing Of remote.
is a CMOS decade counter cum decoder
circuit which can work out of the box for most of our low range counting
applications. It can count from zero to ten and its outputs are decoded. This
IC also simplifies the design and makes debugging easy. Pin-14 is the clock input.
This is the pin from where we need to give the input clock pulses to the IC.
The output is connected with pin 2. It goes high when the counter reads 0
counts. one LED is connected with pin 3 to indicate when switched off
appliances. Transistor BC547 is used to control the relay.
Few components required to construct this
remote-controlled switch circuit that makes its so simple and smaller size. use a 5 v regulated power supply to operate this circuit
and place IR receiver as front-facing and can easily receive signals from the
remote.
